The effects of Minister reshuffle on Business

RESHUFFLE A minister reshuffle is a significant event in politics that can have many ripple effects on businesses operating under the government’s purview. We will discuss the potential effects of a minister reshuffle on business in detail, considering several factors such as changes in policy, regulatory framework, and overall outlook. Firstly, a minister reshuffle can signal a shift in policy priorities both for the government as a whole and individual ministers. If a new minister is appointed to a portfolio, businesses operating in that sector may need to rethink their approach to compliance, regulation or taxation. For example, if a new Minister of Finance is appointed, businesses may have to adjust their expectations for economic policies like taxation, incentives, and subsidies. This can create uncertainty and investment hesitation in the short-term, as businesses try to understand the new policy direction. Moreover, a minister reshuffle can have implications for regulatory overs...

Burning Out

I would like to engage on what I am going through and this is something that I am currently struggling with. This is a big contributor to my tiredness and counter productiveness.   As a young person who is passionate about change and working hard I have a problem of saying yes to every exciting new project, forgetting that I actually have work to do but I always tell myself that I will balance. There is a problem with wanting to be part of every vehicle that is moving in the name of change and business opportunities. I tend to find myself in the cross fire as I am needed to be in many places at once. I would make an example of what happened this weekend. I happen to be part of a board of directors of a certain organisation and we had to meet and perform certain tasks but I had clients I had to attend, this then made me to be 3 hours late for the meeting with the board, imagine an entire director late by 3 hours? This made me incompetent and there was no way I could not att...

Supply

Supply- supply is the amount of a resource that firms, producers, labourers, providers of financial assets, or other economic agents are willing and able to provide to the marketplace or to an individual. Supply can be in produced goods, labour time, raw materials, or any other scarce or valuable object ( WikiPedia) I found this topic to be of great interest in a sense that one can be in and out of business because of a supplier. Demand and supply makes up the foundation of an economy. In business we can have an obstacle of a supplier. Recently I have halted selling a product due to a problem I had with a supplier. The supplier ran out of business and it was difficult to even find another supplier nearby. A supplier can increase prices meaning you also have to increase your prices. This seems simple but it tends to be difficult to maintain one’s clientele in such a situation.   This problem of suppliers come with the risk of running a business, one must always be on the look...

Different type of education

Different Education  I read an articles that having a degree/diploma/certificate will not guarantee a job because the skills that will be needed in the next 5 years require a different education. But what education is that and how can one acquire it since the governmental system certainly does not teach that? I believe that we may not change the system but we can surely change ourselves. This affects businesses because they will be serving a different market. What will it require? Because really most of the people in the rural areas do not have systems that runs their businesses. How will they survive then if currently they are seeing fires? What needs to change? How will it? Who will? This requires a change of the mind. But how can one change people's mind because they do not want education, they see it as a waste of time (of which in some sense it is)? We need leaders not the ones who are in it for the tenders and connections but one who is in for the betterment of peo...

Winter!

For most of us winter is a dread and to some it is such a great time to spend with family, friends and loved ones. For Business is something else. If your business offers a product or a service that needs people to come to the shop, then this is going to be a long winter for you. It will be cold soon and people will not be able to leave their houses, unless you are able to do house calls. Winter is such a scary time for some people but to some it is a prime time. Brace yourself for what is to come, prepare yourselves and never give up on that business.

Progress

Progress. When running a business we face so many challenges. We sometimes ask ourselves if this is worth continuing with. But we should not give up. We need to measure our progress. If we see even a small bit of progress we must push even harder. We are in winter now and depending on the type of business you are in, business is going to be slow as people will be indoors. This is then an opportunity to evaluate your business, see what you have been doing wrong and find ways to improve. Find ways and things that you can sell for winter, find other streams of revenue. We want to see progress. Innovate and add value.

Walking down Memory lane

As we continue celebrating our 3 rd anniversary of the blog, I want to look back on our journey. I will be sharing with you the most read blog posts and reflect on them. Feel free to comment on any one that has impacted you positively. The reason for the blog is to change people’s mind about everything but most importantly business. We do have ideas and want to start but we are somehow limited by the information we were taking in throughout the years. I want us to change the way we look at things, unlearn the things you know and find the new truth. What do I mean by the ‘’New Truth’’. Well as we are in the information age, our traditional ways are no longer relevant, we have AI, Robotics, and block chain and this technology is fast being adopted around the world. So I want people in the rural areas to start learning about this new technology and how they can better use it, because us failing to learn and adapting we will be far behind and will not be able to catch u...
